Future Webcomic Prospects

Just finished the first draft for my fourth prospective Zuda submission with Peter Ludeking, a fellow Zuda Reader. It's a horror/drama. I've submitted only Napoleon, but I have this and at least two others being worked on right now.

My second I wrote yesterday with fellow Zuda Reject, Nathan Ooten. I had been wanting to work with a fellow Reject for months now, scouring the strips to see who perked my interest. I figured teaming up would bring some "old perspective" to the game. The guy caught my eye with his rejected strip. It's hard Sci-Fi/Comedy, with a flair of social commentary nestled in.

My first is a Sci-Fi/Fantasy that I'm doing with my old buddy, Dustin Ganong, who did the long-dead Tales of Awesome webcomic with me. We ended right on page 22 of our first "issue". That's not the actual artwork, I wouldn't show any of it.

Nick and I had a talk at WonderCon about being careful not to submit a comic when the other one is. I would not want to go up against him, because I would lose. He told me that he wouldn't want to lose to me, but that's flattery. Either way, we're navigating because we both have three projects going at this time. He's working on his second entry, which he should be submitting this month, with Gwen, which I think is great. I think people are really going to be surprised by how different his next two entries will be from Pray for Death. Everyone thinks Nick is this dark guy, when his lovely obsession with Jack the Ripper is only part of who he is. His third entry will to be the next Zuda Blockbuster if picked. Either way, Pray for Death should be a shoe-in for renewal if Nick gets a second comic up. As for his fourth entry... well, I was only there for the inception, so I don't know anything there. But boy, does he manage to get some amazing artists. I can't even hint at who is working with Nick on Entry #3 due to legal reasons - I THINK - but it is bound to get people's pecker's standing up.

That and I'm hunting for equipment to start up a third webcomic attempt to host right here on the Lefty Projects page.
